A pathetic diary entry attempt the other day. I think it was doomed before I even started.

Dear Diary,

I turn 18 in almost a month. I am moving to Saudi Arabia in almost 2. Am I at a crossroad? It seems like change likes me. Like I have a huge X on my forehead or something.

One of the advantages of sleeping in a room with open windows and no air conditioning is that sometimes when you wake up, this is what stares you in the face. That's when you rush to get your phone and take mediocre pictures of a beautiful sunrise that don't even begin to do it justice.











And sometimes when you're about to fall asleep . . .

Tragic, isn't it? That's what happens when you ask them to pose for the camera. FAIL (esp. Jared >.>).

I got my vices, I got my vice verses.

We (my 3 brothers and I) spent a good few hours playing Spongebob Monopoly with Andy yesterday. Huge fun. (Yes, there is such a thing as Spongebob Squarepants Monopoly. Google it.)

After that it was Nerf warfare for a little while, then all the boys started playing computer games.

I hate Maple.

On another note, I am officially living out of my suitcase now. Literally. I have to take clothes out of there after each shower. These past few days have been spent sorting, throwing away, packing, cleaning and worrying. And I'm still not done yet! When will all this finally be over...

If I were going to school come Monday, January 4th (my mum's birthday btw) I would say, "Back to school again!". But I'm not. Can't be sure if it's a good thing or not. And if you think we're gonna slack, think again! We have so much to do I can't even be bothered with Math. (Tuition teacher's gonna kill me.)

Anyway for those who don't know, we'll be leaving earliest end of January. Anyone who wants to contact me can do so by emailing poxymonkey@gmail.com and get a prompt reply. Okay, so maybe it won't be prompt but I do reply all my emails, albeit a little late sometimes. The main idea is I'm contactable by email so email me. I wish I had the time and patience to do snail mail but the truth is, I'm way too lazy. Very sorry about that.

Would you believe me if I told you I didn't use any of my computer time yesterday? Meh, probably not eh? :D I need to restore my iPod touch again. Darn thing's been sluggish all month.

Dad says it's getting colder and colder in Saudi Arabia. Mum says I have to wear her huge, navy blue parka once we land in Saudi Arabia. I'm gonna look like a Saudi Arabian penguin. -Rachel Kong

So it's Boxing Day and Christmas is over. Lots of thank you's to all who got me pressies. I love my new scarf! :D I had a Snickers bar (from yesterday's party) for breakfast. Yummy.

How annoying is it that when I have short nails I want long nails but by the time I've grown them out, I want my short nails back. Same thing with hair. Grr.

Been thinking that hotel management's a good idea for me since it's good training to become a housewife. I hear you're able to learn many, many useful skills and it's really tough so you come out better, faster and stronger. Sounds great eh? lol

I feel like a little girl again; tying ribbons into my hair. Did it for the party and did it again today for fun. ♥

Have I mentioned I'm going to miss everyone I'm leaving behind terribly? Well I am. So there.

P.S.
Yet again, my dad has imposed the all too familiar ruling that we're limited to one hour of computer per day. But it could be worse; at least I still have my iPod touch. :)

My family is so funny. We have times when we're almost always going out. Then we have times where we are total homebodys and forget to shower because no one at home cares. Hmm. Or it may be just me.

Nope. It's everyone.

Anyway, showers are magical. They have the ability to make your moods do a 180 degree turn. For the better, of course. I like water. (Yes, I'm a weirdo. Didn't you know?) Which is why I like swimming, beaches, and well, showers. Swimming can also get you into a very good mood. Not because of the whole "exercising releases endorphins" thing but the water washing over you like you're getting a spring cleaning. It's nice.

I've peeled off all my nail polish so now I have CLEAN nails. They look pretty 'cause I kind of grew them out. :) I think I'll keep them like this for a while. If not, I'll give myself a French. I'm boring you with nail talk aren't I? Well then, let's change the topic!

Yay.

Words cannot begin to describe the level of irritation I receive from my mother when my father's gone/in another country. She nags more, constantly has the need to tell us EVERYTHING that's happening to my dad overseas, and worst of all- I BECOME HER FREAKING TECH SUPPORT FOR HER STUPID SKYPE AND EMAIL THAT ALWAYS MANAGES TO "NOT WORK" ALL THE FREAKING TIME. NOT TO MENTION HER NETBOOK IS THE ONLY COMPUTER IN THE HOUSE RUNNING LINUX AND I DON'T KNOW CRAP ABOUT IT. UGH. FRUSTRATION TO THE MAXIMUM.

Hate Skype. Hate Linux. Hate my mum's stupid Acer One. Hate her. GOD. There is absolutely NO use teaching her anything because she'll just forget in the span of two seconds and then proceed to query me AGAIN. Why do people have to get old? Why do people have to start deteriorating once they stop growing? Why did Eve have to eat that stupid forbidden fruit? WHY?!

And we'll never know the answers because only God knows and he doesn't want to tell us. Awesome.

I'm going to die miserable and alone. Yay.

Okay, so I've been watching too many TV shows. Bite me.

Also, Dr. Sheldon Cooper from TBBT might be the most hilarious TV show character I will ever encounter. Emphasis on the ever.

I can't get enough of The Big Bang Theory. It's better than peppermint/mint choc chip ice cream. :D Also, Boots. They are so easy to wear! No shoelaces to come undone, no stopping and kneeling down to tie said shoelaces, it's just pull on and pull off. I need, I mean- want more! :) Preferably fluffy-looking ones. Waterproof ones would be cool too. No need to worry about Malaysian downpour and puddles/lakes in the middle of roads and sidewalks. Hmm. I love dressing for cold weather. It's so much comfier and you feel like you're being protected by your clothes. Nice warm, safe feeling. (Too bad Malaysian weather is how it is.) Which is why since we don't get cold weather, I like cold places; you get to bundle up! Cold malls, cold vehicles, etc.

I also like how Singaporean malls blast the air conditioning 24/7. Then again, it can become a rather irritating cycle: walk in hot sun, enter freezing mall, walk in hot sun, enter freezing mall, walk in hot sun- well you get the idea. It's enough to make you sick. :) But it's fun. We might be venturing down there this Christmas month. Whee! I can get a new bottle of Seche Vite dry fast top coat. They don't sell it here in MY and the last one I got from SG is all gloppy now. Best top coat I've used to date, albeit a tad pricey of course. Makes your mani last for weeks!

Big groups can be annoying sometimes. I think three's a perfect crowd. :)

On a totally unrelated note, I do not understand why shoulder pads are making a comeback. They are completely unattractive in my opinion.

How it happened:
1. Swiped sweater off rack in children's department
2. Asked Jared to pull it on 'cause it looked cute
3. Confirmed the cuteness and started looking for dad so I could show him off
4. Failed to find dad
5. Spotted big poster of white guy wearing similar v-neck sweater
6. Immediately pushed Jared to pose next to him
7. Thought it was too good to pass up a photo op
8. Marks & Spencer salesperson scolded me for taking picture
9. Didn't delete photo and totally thought it was worth the scolding
10. Whole family loved the photo
