Us Against The World
Looks like someone abandoned her blog... *grin*
Anyway, I just realized something. I no longer crave awards. Once upon a time, I did. But after so many years of wishful thinking, I have finally realized that it's just a piece of plastic. (Especially when you already know who the dang awards are gonna go to, year after year.) The one and only trophy I've ever gotten (not chosen by the supervisor 'cause it was Spelling Bee Runner-Up), now lies covered in dust at the bottom of my cupboard. Yes, it's nice to receive recognition and all that jazz, but behind the scenes work is still the best! For me, that is.
I think the most panicked moment of Awards Night IMO, was when Julian was silently shouting at me to get that stupid, lone amp off the stage. LOL. (It's like, what's it doing there?!! Get it off!!!) There were other panicked moments but I think in all the excitement, I forgot everything.
I overheard some of the parents' comments (on the organized aspect of things) and they were good. Props to Sher-Mayne for getting everything together. Special thanks to my goons (Daniel Kong & Michelle Lu), you were a GREAT help. What would I have done without you?! And to JO, no worries~ you're forgiven. Yeesh man, next time just wear the damn headset. Lols. Not my fault you guys were fumbling around when it was time to serve dinner. >.>
